We provide holistic care for mothers and babies in Ethiopia and Uganda.
When prevention, adequate birthing care, and neonatal services are unavailable in a pregnant woman or girl’s life, a fistula can result, changing her life dramatically—her health fails, most often her baby is stillborn, and her connections to her family and community deteriorate. Together with our partners, we continue to nurture in Sub-Saharan Africa a holistic model of care that has all the necessary services intact and running at capacity. These pieces include robust maternal health care—prenatal care and education, efficacious treatment, and preparation for successful family and community life.
